I live in Spain and I am finding it next to impossible to buy a medical alert bracelet. I have had a necklace made with all the information, but it doesn't really draw attention, reason why I would like to know how to find one of these.

Hi Alicia! I just checked online and found these two sites that look promising! Here are the addresses: www.MedIDs.com and www.laurenshope.com/ (The second one looked like it had great options!) Hope this helps! Blessings, Amanda

Hi Amanda! Thank you so much for the information. Both sites look good, so I will browse and choose because it really is important. Again, thank you very much. Hope to keep in touch. How are you doing? Alicia.

Im glad you liked the sites! I am doing alright! I have tomorrow off from work (my first three day weekend in a very long time thats not for a medical thing-I live across the state from my neuro-onc team!) I read some if your story-you are an incredible woman! I am three years post-op and doing okay! Working about 32 hours per week and finding out who I really am post-brain tumor! Its been an incredible journey, amazing highs and lows. This site has really been a comfort, I hope you keep in touch!

Hi Amanda. Ah yes, I understand what you mean, a three day weekend with no medical stuff. This is the first month in over a year that I don't have any doctor appointments, MRIs, analysis or anything at all. Next month I start again with all the endocrine issues and another control MRI and on and on in this neverending battle, but I can assure you that I have every intention of winning it. I am actually very lucky to live in Spain, because we have the most astounding Social Security system and extremely good doctors and hospitals. So in that aspect I have no complains. But yes, this is one tough battle and the constant vigilance watching and waiting to make sure the "benign" beast doesn't return. But I hope that this time will be the good one, because after the two operations and radiotherapy I'm not too sure if I am up to any more operations, at least for a while. I'm also back to work, but there I'm lucky as well because I work from my own home. I'm a translator, so I can sort of organize myself quite well. I haven't been able to work much this year, in particular before the operations because my sight was so bad, but it is almost back to normal and my work schedule is also practically normal again. And then there is the fatigue, but I think that is pretty normal as well considering the year I've been through. So, altogether, no more complaining and on with the battle. Thanks so much for contacting with me. It really does feel good to talk to other people in a similar situation. Have a wonderful wonderful weekend. Big hugs!!!
