Permalink Reply by Wendy Felsenthal on March 19, 2010 at 6:57pm I have persistent migraines. My MRI's have shown scarring in my frontal lobe - possibly from migraines. Currently I take Inderal (for prevention) and Midrin (in case I get a headache). Does not think its from my Meningioma. I do get fewer headaches since starting this regimin, but it doesn't take care of the neck pain. My doc thinks its because of my bulging discs. It has helped that I have a Tempurpedic mattress and pillow - takes the pressure off for me.

I have chronic neck pain. I've had it for over 5 years with constant visits to doctors, chiro, physio, etc etc and no one could tell me what my problem was/is. My dentist said my neck pain is from my jaw alignment but nothing he tried helped. I've kept trying to find help and when I asked for Botox injections to my neck to dull the pain my family physician sent me to a neurologist who decided to send me for a cat scan where the M was found. I'm presuming that my neck pain has been caused by my M all these years but none of my doctors will agree on the connection. I still have chronic neck pain as well as headaches. I go to acupuncture, sauna, take supplements, and when the pain is too bad I take Advil which helps sometimes.

Permalink Reply by Jerel Keith Harris on April 13, 2013 at 2:10am My Neurologist just started me on Verapamil SR for my headaches. It's a medication for blood pressure but an off label effect is treatment of migraines. I have noticed a decrease in the intensity of my headaches but not so much a decrease in the occurance of the headaches. But I am happy with whatever relief I get.
