I have chronic neck pain. I've had it for over 5 years with constant visits to doctors, chiro, physio, etc etc and no one could tell me what my problem was/is. My dentist said my neck pain is from my jaw alignment but nothing he tried helped. I've kept trying to find help and when I asked for Botox injections to my neck to dull the pain my family physician sent me to a neurologist who decided to send me for a cat scan where the M was found. I'm presuming that my neck pain has been caused by my M all these years but none of my doctors will agree on the connection. I still have chronic neck pain as well as headaches. I go to acupuncture, sauna, take supplements, and when the pain is too bad I take Advil which helps sometimes.

I take Advil Liquid Caps. They seem to help all my back and head pain issues.
Get yourself one of the 'neckbone' pillows and sleep w/ it for a week. It helps to align your neck and support it.
Have you found out when you go in for biopsy?
I have persistent migraines. My MRI's have shown scarring in my frontal lobe - possibly from migraines. Currently I take Inderal (for prevention) and Midrin (in case I get a headache). Does not think its from my Meningioma. I do get fewer headaches since starting this regimin, but it doesn't take care of the neck pain. My doc thinks its because of my bulging discs. It has helped that I have a Tempurpedic mattress and pillow - takes the pressure off for me.
Terry,
We have the Tempurpedic mattresses as well and we love them.

Have you had an MRI scan of your neck? It sounds pretty amazing that it could be caused by 'bad posture.' I'd get a second opinion if I were you. My doctor always said that he trusts the MRI scan more than he would the opinion of 10 specialists.
An added note: My son, who had a brain tumor and had and still has headaches also has scoliosis in his upper back, which causes his neck to be stiff. Its mild but they watch it. Massages help alot for him...
dunno what to do about neck pain, i've experienced primarily bone pain (weather changes etc) and find that aleve or advil works good for me. Since going thru radiotherapy, the only thing that's helped at all is dexamethasone combined with an occasional Tylenol 3. of course your results may vary. if it's muscle pain an anti-inflammatory like diclofenac could help out too. just my $0.02

Active Isolated Stretching has helped me w/ all kinds of pains. StretchingUSA.com / Youtube videos on how to do it

I hate when they tell you that chronic headaches are *not* related to the tumor!

My Neurologist just started me on Verapamil SR for my headaches. It's a medication for blood pressure but an off label effect is treatment of migraines. I have noticed a decrease in the intensity of my headaches but not so much a decrease in the occurance of the headaches. But I am happy with whatever relief I get.
