When you all get migraines/headaches, do you have balance problems? When I'm up to it, I try and do yoga to help relieve headaches. But when it's a bad one, I find myself constantly losing my balance, making yoga extremely difficult. I also run into things, sort of like my depth perception is off because I'm turning too soon. Are these "normal" migraine/headache symptoms?

My daughter has had terrible migraines for 2 1/2 years. Rather, one long migraine that doesn't stop. She has tried everything--special diet (no chocolate, MSG, fermented foods, aged cheeses, etc) botox shots, migraine meds, DHE injections, cervical nerve blocks (cortisone injections AND nerve burning), herbal concoctions, cranio-sacral therapy, acupuncture, biofeedback and yoga.

Avoiding triggers definitely helps (get enough sleep, eat regularly, avoid stress, get exercise, don't eat Chinese food).. but..

The only thing that worked for her, finally, was shaving her head and applying her TENS unit electrodes to her scalp. Yes, that works. This is a desperate girl. She is 18 and doesn't care what it looks like, she wants relief. She wears a wig in between treatments.
