PAIN DOCTOR

I developed chronic pain after my radiation treatment. I have nerve damage called Trigeminal Neuralgia. The nerve pain is excruciating and for 13 years. I lived on any medication that any doctor would give me. Nothing worked and there wasn't a doctor who I felt really cared about my pain and my quality of life. Dr. Kevin Sperber saved my life. He put me on medication that stays in my system. I can now function and enjoy life. Not only has he treated me, he gives me respect and treats me as a human being.

HELPFUL SERVICES

In NJ there is a fund that has been so helpful to me. The Traumatic Brain Injury Fund has paid for necessities that are costly. I have to use eye drops several times a day. I almost went blind after having a procedure to end my painful nerve damage. Instead of the procedure helping, the pain wasn't relieved and I wound up with an ulcer in my cornea. My vision occasionally gets blurry and my eye gets really dry. The TBIF has been paying for my eye drops. These drops are $13/week. They also pay for other items for me.

I encourage you to look and see if there is a fund in your state. You'll be assigned a social worker, who'll work on your behalf. You also need a doctor's note as to why you need these services. Getting state approval to pay for something can take some time. However, once you're in, you are in. It's worth it.
