The It’s Just Benign (IJB) fund raiser held May 3,
2011, at “What’s the Scoop” in Metuchen, NJ, was a tremendous
success! From 5-9 pm, members of IJB, their families,
and lots of friends, gathered to socialize and to enjoy pizza, hot
dogs, and a wide variety of ice-cream flavors. Beth Rosenthal, the
founder of IJB, along with various IJB
members displayed information about this 501(c)(3) nonprofit and
handed out flyers to the many patrons of “What’s the Scoop”.
Among the members of IJB who attended were Pat
Garner of Metuchen (with her children and husband), Terry Guy of
Edison, A.J. Scortino of Bridgewater and his son from Brandon,
ADD IN THE OTHERS as well as Steve Mooar and daughter Kiera,
the IJB webmaster and his daughter. Other guests
included Dr. Roxie A. James (Executive Director, School of Natural
Sciences, Kean University) who was joined by her grand-daughter
Janelle, Denise and Joe Revello (Plainfield), Dot and Mel Razawich
(Washington, NJ), several members of the Zwick family (from Edison
and Fords), Alison and Andy Anapole and daughter Ava (from
Livingston), Dr. David Frechtman and his assistant Ginny (from
Frechtman Family Dental in Edison), and many others (including
Beth’s mother, Judy Rosenthal, from Edison).
IJB is very grateful to Mr. Mike Patterson the
owner of “What’s the Scoop”, for not only providing the perfect
setting and food for the fund raiser but also for donating a
portion of the evening’s proceeds to IJB. Next time
you are in downtown Metuchen and are looking for something to eat,
stop in “What’s the Scoop” and show Mr. Patterson our appreciation
for his sponsorship for IJB!
