"Hi Corbin,  Like you, my son who is 41 was diagnosed in 2002 with a low grade glioma when he was 32.  It was operated on and most of it was removed.  He was told it was highly unlikely that it would regrow but in 2007 after his MRI…"

Regrowth? So frustrated!

It has been awhile since I have been on the site, but yall are great at listening. So, I just received the result of a recent MRI. This is after a year and a few months since re-sectioning of the ganglioglioma tumor. I am so frustrated having a neuro surgeon out-of -state. Apparently, it's grown but they do not want to do a follow up for a year? (This was all told to me over the phone.) That leads to confusion. Would my neuro surgeon be the one to recommend radiation? I am currently seeing a…See More

Hi again. Yes, dealing with bills and money-related things is torture. I'm on disability and get a little help w/ my electric bill. Only I need to re-apply every 3 months and it's an extensive form. I'm covered under my mom for my health insurance, but I see the bills. It's overwhelming. Good luck. What is your day like now? Did you work before or were you in school? I really believe that someday this website will be my career, but until that day I might need to go back to school.
Anyway, much to do today. It's my day off of work. Good luck.

continued from other comment....OK, so the more challenging part was actually healing the tumor - It was actually simpler than i thought, but it took a long time to get there - and, some of this may sound a bit 'out there' so you will have to check into it for yourself and see if it feels right for you. First I did basic detoxification - not perfectly, just cleaned up my diet, took some detoxifying herbs and supplements, and stopped eating things with chemicals in them. I recently read somewhere that every tumor has a traumatic event associated with it, and if you can heal the traumatic event then the tumor would disappear. This makes perfect sense to me because it is basically what happened for me. I had tried so many different holistic approaches (reflexology, flower essences, chiropractic, radio waves, etc) and each time the MRI would show 'no change.' I believe these things may have helped in general health ways, but not specifically with the tumor as much as I needed them to. What finally worked was working with 3 different people. One person said that there was an energy attached to me that wasn't supposed to be there, and she worked to help me let it go. The second person said that there was a traumatic event that happened a long time ago, and she helped me to feel the event, then feel the healed version of the event, then I took the homeopathic "Aconitum Napellus" for 2 days. And the third one helped me to see that I had been not fully living my life, that I needed to relax into what was truly right for me and go for it. The combination of these three helped me completely release the tumor. I used to have what I called 'brain tumor moments' where I felt like I could somehow 'feel' that the tumor was still there. After working with these 3 people I have never had a 'brain tumor moment' again. I hope this helps, and I am happy to answer any questions you may have! Best Wishes! Heather

Hi Corbin! yes, i have done A LOT of research etc on my own in terms of the holistic approach because there hasn't been much info out there. I am happy to help in any way. so, here are some things that helped me the most... in terms of the stress and depression - I did a lot of relaxation and visualization techniques, I started with the book "love, medicine and miracles" by Bernie Siegel and then I just looked everywhere I could for breathing or muscle relaxation techniques this helped the most with the stress - I did it every night for about 15 minutes for a few years. I also had 'Healing Touch' energy work done on me - this helped the most with the depression. The first time the 'Healing Touch' people did a technique to help heal the scar area I felt truly HAPPY (like all the way fully really happy!) for the first time since the surgery....

Hi Corbin. I'm sorry to hear that you're not doing so well. Are you doing any better than when you last wrote? Are there any support groups in your area or have you met any other survivors? I know it's great that you're able to come on here and connect with other survivors but, it doesn't replace that one-on-one connection. Anyway, I'm thinking of you and wanted to say well. Keep me posted on how you're doing.

Hi Corbin. I've seen you on here quite a bit, like many others. Myself included; Twenty years later and I'm still dealing with the aftermath of all my treatments. How are you doing?
