Up until about three weeks ago I didn't even know this group was on this site, Since I've had my eyes fixed as best as they can I can see a lot better. I've been Bi-Polar for 25 years each time I have a surgery it takes some times years to adjust my meds to help me again. I normally don't let anyone know anything concerning metal health because of all the stigma involved. When I've tryed to help friends or family I'm told I'm not crazy like you. My name is Jamie, I had and have again, a trigeminal neuroma/meningioma. My first like yours was large aka Grapefruit, I too deal with the prism vision and I completely feel your pain. I currently have a reccurent tumor and as of 7 weeks ago, was treated with gamma knife for my 3.4cm mass. aka walnut lol.. I love how we use food or objects to describe our issues. But I too suffer daily. from my first surgery and now from this current tumor. I tell my family daily, that I truly wish this upon no one. I am sorry to hear that you are suffering. The worst is when the dr. or ppl around you who are suppose to support you can't or won't. Do you have any facial numbness?

Debbie Higgins said… - Hi Linda, It does look like we had surgery about the same time. Your last one in October and mine was late November. I would love for us to chat sometime and find out similarities between our journeys. My tumor was on my occipital lobe so most of my deficits are from eye problems. I lost part of my left visual field in both eyes and see silver streaks all the time. It is hard to read with contacts and reading glasses and my depth perception is off in my left eye only. So I can really understand how you feel about the double vision. It is very annoying! Hope you can find some support here. It is good to know that others are having the same feelings and it is ok to feel the way you feel!

- Hello Linda and thanks for joining. I started this site because I had such difficulty finding benign brain tumor survivors, like myself. I'm a long term survivor ( but have many side-effects): diagnosed in 1985 at age 11.
