Madison Beggs up date 3/16/11 Round 3 of Chemo

Friday, March 11, 2011 12:46 PM, ESTWe are back in the hospital again. Madi had her port put back in yesterday. She asked if they can put it on the same spot and they did.  They also started her third round of chemo last night.  They did a hearing test this morning cause she has been complaining of not being able to hear and unfortunately with taking all those chemo drugs she is losing some of her hearing. Madison Beggs laser surgery MRI results are good

Last Wed 12/1/2010 Madi had her 3ed MRI since the laser surgery and the Dr's were pleased it showed no growth of the tumor. Madi is having a hard time eating she just does not want to eat but Dr said to give her 1 more week . Madi also started going back to school for a few hours a day her class mates were happy to see her. She will start her second faze of chemo on Jan 2ed 2011 go into hospital 4 days and then go home for 21 days and return 4 more days of chemo for 6 times. See More

On August 2, 2010, Madison was diagnosed with a brain tumor. She wasvisiting her grandparents in South Carolina when this was discovered byan MRI done at Greenville Hospital. Dr. Emily Foster was herneurologist that ordered the MRI to be done after seeing her on anoffice visit. Madison needed to see a neurologist because prior to thisher pediatrician thought she may have had Bell's Palsy. Madison Beggs laser surgery MRI results are good

Hello Norman and welcome. Thanks for joining. I started this site because I had such difficulty finding benign brain tumor survivors, like myself. I'm a long term survivor (but have many side-effects): diagnosed in 1985 at age 11. Besides connecting with survivors, we can exchange medical info, get support, etc. There is also a Q & A with a neurosurgeon and a nutritionist under the Resources tab. Thanks again for joining.
