Hey Pansy thanks for checking in my parents insisted i get the biopsy at mayo even though a ns i saw in mex city gave me more confidence. But the plan has shifted, I have an appointment at mayo this wed. So the biopsy should be around the corner. How are things on your end? Hope you had a nice weekend.

Thanks for doing the rounds. I am a bit calmer after having another MRI yesterday (no change). That's just since Jan but still brings my nerves down. Also i met with a neurosurgeon that inspired a lot of confidence and will be having my bio next week. He also mentioned several positive aspects of the mri (lack of edema, well encapsulated etc.) How have you been? Any news on your end?

I am doing pretty good. Last week I noticed I was not as tired when I get home as I have been..so 7 mos seems to be a milestone for me. My eye tears a lot, but still does not blink. My eye is very sensitive to bright sun and especially the snow. From what I read that is normal. If I go outside without sunglasses I can't keep my eyes open and it effects my balance. Are you working fulltime? I certainly enjoy the weekends..for the last 3/4 years I have spent part of every weekend taking care of my Dad. He died in June, I had surgery in July, so now that I am feeling better it is almost like I have some new time in my life.

Hi Pansy. You're Welcome. I'm very happy that I started IJB, too. It's really wonderful how active it's become. It's makes me feel like everything that I went through had purpose. Life was so different when I was diagnosed, in 1986. I hope that at some point, helping the benign brain tumor community is my main job.
How are you? Enjoying the weekend?

Hello Pansy and thanks for joining. I started this site a year ago because I had such difficulty finding benign brain tumor survivors, like myself. I'm a long term survivor ( but have many side-effects): diagnosed in 1985 at age 11. Besides connecting with survivors, we can exchange medical info, get support, etc. Please message me with any questions or comments. Thanks again for joining.

Welcome Pansy! What a cool name!
I think on any given day you will find someone here who can at the very least, give you a shoulder to cry on or some encouragement if you need it:)
I too, rely on God ....alot, but probably not as much as he wants me too:)

I had meningioma that was in my right temporal lobe, right behind my eye. I am wondering what issues, if any , you have had because of it.
Have you had any surgery or radio-surgery done yet, or are you in a wait and see mode?
