hormones/breast cancer/meningioma connection

Does anyone know of any good website or doctor who might know about the hormone, breast cancer and meningioma connection? Most sites I have seen are where someone with breast cancer gets a meningioma, but I have a meningioma and BIG family history of breast cancer. I am 55 and have never taken HRT, but apparently HRT can stimulate both. From what I have read, hormones are a big issue. I really don't want to take a drug, but I want to learn mroe about mifepristone and an or any other information…See More

Where do I go for the best surgery?

I was diagnosed 3 weeks ago with a left anterior frontal meningioma. I want to seek a 2nd or even third opinion. I live in a small town and am underwhelmed with the doctor I went to.
I wish I knew who specialized in this particular type of meningioma and could speak with someone in the group who had such a surgery.
I will travel out of state...I have the "luxury" of waiting, as I was told I have no symptoms (although I beg to differ!). Any guidance would be greatly appreciated. Tricia

I also have the luxury of waiting -- I look at it as the time to try alternatives which will hopefully keep the M from growing and causing anything more than my daily headaches and chronic neck pain. I have acupuncture each week, far infrared sauna, Unda drops and I've just sprouted some Wheatgrass which when grown I plan to juice and drink. Lots of interesting information about Wheatgrass online -- whether it will help me with this M or not I won't know till I try. Are you trying anything alternative while you wait?

Hello Tricia and thanks for joining. I started this site a year ago because I had such difficulty finding benign brain tumor survivors, like myself. I'm a long term survivor ( but have many side-effects): diagnosed in 1985 at age 11. Besides connecting with survivors, we can exchange medical info, get support, etc. Please message me with any questions or comments. Thanks again for joining.
