recovering from emergency surgery

The most amazing part of this site that I just stumbled onto is that I’m reading stories that seem so familiar to mine. I went into emergency on Mar 11, 2009 because I thought I had some sort of ear infection or something because every time I coughed, I would get this pain in my head for about 3 seconds and my ear closed every now and then which caused dizziness.

2nd Post-op MRI "no news is good news"

8-12-2009

Rather than start a new post I thought I would just use this as a running update for those of you whom want to keep up with my progress.

I had my 2nd follow-up MRI today and marks 5.5 months since surgery. The neurosurgeon was pleased and said that the new scan was stable and unchanged so as they say "no news is good news".

so i'm 3 days post op

didnt get so lucky this time. the tumor was cancer on my ovary. but they think they got it all and that it was contained in the mass itself. we'll know more in a week. surgery went well. i feel that recovery will be long and slow. but i'll be good or i'll end up hurting myself really bad. so pray that i am not so hard headed and get over the few dishes in the sink and the shit that i can't change!

My Baby has a Brain Stem Glioma

My Elias was diagnosed with a Level 1-2 Brain Stem Glioma when he was 2 years - 3 months. He is now almost 6-years old (August 09) and doctors are now considering doing Radiation. The tumor has not grown too much since diagnoses. Should we go ahead with radiation or keep watching it??
