Greg's job

Hi everybody!
Greg finally has a job! He's working at Kohl's and he really likes it. We are leaving on vacation to Florida this Friday. Greg will be able to join us. The whole family is renting a house and staying for a week. Greg's health is good. His latest growth hormone score was down in the normal range and his latest MRI was stable at both tumor sites. Happy Thanksgiving to all!

How has this site helped you?

Hello IJB members. On Dec. 7th I am going to be video taped/recorded for a channel that airs all over New Jersey USA (WNJN) . I'm trying to prepare what I will say and how I'll represent It's Just Benign. How did you feel when you found this site and how it helps you now. Please try to answer the blog so I can follow all of the information. Thank you.

What issues should It's Just Benign bring forth to the public about benign brain tumors?

OK members, let's start making a dent in the brain tumor world. What has been the most devastating part of this diagnosis? Why do you want to discuss this issue first? How has your benign brain tumor diagnosis forever changed you? What do you want your family to understand better? Are you sick of hearing "Good, it's not cancer" or "so all we do is watch and wait". How about "You're lucky"!
Do you have any ideas how to reach out to the public?

GREAT doctor visit this time!

Hi there - I finally saw a WONDERFUL neurologist last week. He spent 2 hours with me, and wrote down everything! Completely opposite experience from the last doctor. Drew some labs, (12 vials!) and so far everything looks fine except a positive ANA (antinuclear antibody test) and an elevated Rheumatoid Factor. This is indicating an autoimmune disease of some type. We did discuss Rheumatoid arthritis, Lupus, and MS as possibilities. So we'll see.

Today I had the labs drawn (only 5… Continue

My surgery date...

Well...I finally got booked for my surgery which will be on December 8th. I am starting to breathe a sigh of relief....finally finally finally it will happen. This waiting and all these tests are sucky...is that a word? It is now lol

The previous time I visited with my neurosurgeon he had mentioned that he thought I would be a good candidate for a supra-orbital craniotomy...but....not anymore...it seems the booger in my head has decided to grow and where it is situated now is not so… Continue
